QUESTION - How do I attach a helmet style battery connector
ANSWER - Back in the 1950's pretty much all European batteries came predrilled for a screw mounted battery connector. But times have changed and the holes haven't existed on battery terminals for decades.
Place the helmet connector on the battery terminal. Use a punch to make a dimple in the top of the post to mark where the mounting screw will go. Remove battery connector.
Using the dimple you just punched, use a #29 drill (0.136") or 1/8" drill if you do not have a #29 bit and drill a hole about 1/2" deep.
Use a #8 half inch long oval head sheet metal screw. It is also called an AB point screw.
